open book

Rosie tells me I am an interesting and open book
A compliment I cherish coming from her
She who will be my reader as long as I write
Even when only fond memories remain.

As she cares for her ailing husband Milt
Adoring him as ever seeing the one she loves
How she told us the story of their getting together
When she first saw him like an eagle soaring.

Born long before the polio vaccine arrived
No complaints about wheelchairs get voiced
She takes in the good as much as she can
Having fun and enjoying the life that she has.

Nothing lasts forever but I really hope
Rosie lives to see one hundred years or more
Viewing my photos and reading my words
Giving me her comments on what she sees.
