China has fewer than five thousand deaths
Compared to more than five hundred thousand here
And if you consider relative population size
It's more than five hundred times worse here
Or to put the point the other way around
If the virus had been contained here
Like how it was controlled in China
There would be just barely one thousand dead
But this comparison is not mentioned in the news
You have to search out the numbers for China
And do the math calculation on your own to verify
The system here has killed half a million people
And even if you believe the propaganda
That says the Chinese don't report true numbers
That's just nibbling at the edges of the difference
What amounts to truly massive murder
Instead the press and the politicians attack China
All of them in agreement pushing the next Cold War
Even as the fourth wave of the pandemic looms here
Gathering momentum to kill so many thousands more
Everyone knows what happens next
Even if you needed it demonstrated before
Repeating the same mistake again and again
Dropping all precautions results in a death surge
This is the insanity of capitalism driven to profit
Under a government that puts business first
But the Chinese example in the current situation
Tells us it doesn't have to be this way
