Today another wet cold day
Sometimes drizzle sometimes rain
Yesterday dark overcast wind chill
The best weather in many days.
This is the glorious first week of May
A time to be outside enjoying the sun
Catching sight of spring birds moving about
Soon to be obscured as the leaves fill out.
Listening to music as we wait inside
Taking the time to read and cook
Knowing we need the rain
Trying to find acceptance and be glad.
Remembering past work making deliveries
All day rain soaking cold wet clothes
Here I am now in a warm dry house
Cozy in the moment as time goes by.
