It was music to my ears as they say
Hearing you laughing making wry jokes
Amused when another might be annoyed
Finding things not entirely as we expected
Returning home after a long time away
Road weary from three days traveling
But you didn't let it bother you
Knowing what is important for us
Because we have each other
And we're back safe and in good health
Ready to settle into our routine here
Enjoying the rooms full of sunlight and plants
Going around to our favorite places
Witness to the seasonal progression
Finding beauty in nature being alive
Appreciating passing time together
